C4

Christopher Umana, professionally known as C4, is a Nigerian-American songwriter, musician, and record producer born in Atlanta, Georgia.  He began playing the piano at age 9. Growing up in the south, he honed his skills in the church where he also learned to play drums and organ. He grew up in Stone Mountain and attended Redan High School. Most of his musical influences come from playing and listening to gospel, contemporary Christian, R&B, and Hip-Hop music. In high school he played piano in the jazz band and would gig around the city of Atlanta.

Although his passion for music was rapidly growing, he managed to keep education in the forefront. In 2009, he received a B.B.A. in Finance at Georgia Southern University. His production career began in 2008 when he produced the title track, “On My Radio” for Musiq Soulchild’s album On My Radio, while attending college.

Since, C4 has worked with Kelly Rowland on Here I Am (Keep It Between Us), Tank, (Next Breath #1 US Urban A/C), Trey Songz’ Chapter V (Simply Amazing #1 UK R&B, Almost Lose It) and Trigga (Y.A.S.), Omarion’s Sex Playlist (Already, Boss feat. Rick Ross, Show Me feat. Jeremih), Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise (Stay Down f/Kanye West), and many others. Many songs that C4 has written for other artist have been placed in many TV/Film projects including MTV’s Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory, Who’s Your Caddy, The Originals, and Annie (2014).

In 2015, C4 expanded his production efforts to TV & Film. Since, he has amassed numerous placements including promos on Target’s Thanksgiving Ta-Da Campaign, ABC’s Modern Family and Black-ish, NBC’s Telenovela, WGN’s Underground, Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club, and a promo for FOX’s Cooper Barrett’s Guide To Surviving Life that aired for seven weeks. His production consists of heavy programming and sound manipulation with the use of plugins, live and software instruments.
